STUTSMAN COUNTY, N.D. (Valley News Live) A Gackle, North Dakota man was arrested after a pursuit and alleged assault on two law enforcement officers in Stutsman County, authorities said. Around 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 12, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a break-in at a home in Millarton, about 15 miles southwest of Jamestown. Deputies say 37-year-old Leland Schneider of Gackle allegedly kicked in the door of the residence before leaving the area. A deputy later spotted Schneider’s vehicle and tried to pull it over, but Schneider fled, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Deputies and a state trooper pursued the vehicle until it stopped near the intersection of 52nd Street and 76th Avenue SE. Authorities say Schneider got out and tried to run. During the incident, he allegedly assaulted a Stutsman County deputy and a Highway Patrol trooper. Both officers had minor injuries. Schneider was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for medical clearance
